Home Solar Wiz is a static website. There are no user accounts. This policy explains what limited data is collected and how it is used.
Cookies and advertising
This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or by visiting aboutads.info to opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Contact form
The contact page includes a form powered by Formspree. When you submit the form, your name, email address, and message are transmitted to Formspree's servers and forwarded to the site owner. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. Formspree's privacy policy is available at formspree.io. We do not store your submission beyond what Formspree retains per their own policy.
Local browser storage
To improve your experience, we use your browser's localStorage to remember two things:
- Theme preference — whether you've selected light or dark mode. Stored
under the key
theme. - Calculator inputs — the values you've entered into the solar tools, so
they're still there if you return. Stored under keys prefixed with
hsw-.
This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server. You can clear it at any time via your browser's developer tools or by clearing site data in your browser settings. The site works normally without it.
Analytics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by our hosting provider. Cloudflare's analytics are privacy-friendly: they do not use cookies, do not track individuals across sites, and collect only aggregated data (page views, visit counts, referrers, and performance metrics). No personal information is shared with us through this service. Cloudflare's privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We may add a third-party analytics service such as Google Analytics in future. If we do, this policy will be updated before any such collection begins.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Cloudflare's network. In addition to the analytics described above, Cloudflare may process request data (IP address, browser, pages visited) as part of normal network operation and DDoS protection. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
